Health Office Guidelines

To create a healthy and successful learning environment:
Please notify the health office when your child is absent via telephone or email.
Please keep the health office abreast of any changes to your child's health or emergency contact information.
Food allergy procedures are in place: including Nut Free seating in the cafeteria, avoidance of homemade food items for classroom celebrations, adherence to the acceptance of food items for classroom celebrations that  display Warning Label " Manufactured in a PEANUT/TREE NUT FREE FACILITY".
Please DO NOT send your child to school if they are ill with:
 fever (above 100 degrees)They should be fever free without medication for 24 hours,
 itchy red, swollen eyes especially with discharge or eyelashes that are stuck together when they wake up,
 rash not diagnosed by their physician as non contagious,
  thick greenish nasal discharge, persistent coughing or wheezing, 
 have been seen in the emergency department or urgent care without physician instructions.
Please remember ALL medication (prescription and over the counter) requires a physician order as well as parent permission for administration by the school nurse.
A parent may submit a note for a child to refrain from gym class for a maximum of 2 days. If your child is removed from gym class for 3 more days or is initially removed from gym by a doctor they will only be returned to participation when a doctor note is received. Students removed from gym will also be removed from other physical acivities including recess.
Yearly physicals are encouraged and students MUST maintain up to date immunization status.
